Black does not have to feel heavy and dark. It’s a neutral that in a light-filled space it’s works as beautiful complement to white. Benjamin Moore Black Panther has been a favorite black paint of ours. We used it throughout both our Family Ties Custom Build and Summit Creek projects. It’s a black that provides beautiful contrast to crisp whites and reads as a true black (not blue) in bright lit spaces. Dunn Edwards reads as a rich inky blue in our Torina Project kitchen. It’s a little edgier than navy and creates a sophisticated coastal feel that we love. See more of this color and kitchen here.LA Project / Chad Mellon Photography
Bold beams painted Benjamin Moore Black Beauty add chic contrast to this bright airy office space. Painting the wood transformed this dated room and created a fresh modern look.
Crisp and Light

We love a white space. It is the color we use most often because it feels crisp and refreshing. Benjamin Moore Chantilly Lace is one of our favorite whites. It’s clean and looks especially beautiful in light-filled spaces. It is a great complement to warm woods. Throughout our Summit Creek Project, we used a foundation of Benjamin Moore White Dove paint. This creamy paint is soft and comfortable without feeling yellow. White floors? Yes! In this bedroom, we created a fresh clean space on a budget. Instead of installing high-end hardwood floors, we used affordable bamboo and then coated it with white epoxy. They have held up great and don’t show scratches or major wear and tear.Soft and Colorful

Soft color can add dimension and create a fun mood. Our Aveituna Project kitchen is a cool coastal gray. We love the way this perfect gray blends with the Tabarka tile and contrasts the warm wood tones in the space. See more of this kitchen here.Brio Project / Alyssa Ence Photography
In this laundry space we wanted it to feel clean and bright, but not stark. To add color and contrast, we chose a beautiful rich blue-grey for the lower cabinets, Farrow and Ball Pigeon.Double Eagle Project / Mykals Architectural Photography
If your space is feeling bland, consider a colorful accent color. In this all white space, we painted the lower built-ins a pretty blue, Benjamin Moore Santorini Blue. A weekend of work can reinspire your space. For more of our favorite colors and painting tips, be sure to check out our Paint Guide. Xxo Becki
