Cool Gray Coastal Kitchen – Our Aveituna Project

It’s another project reveal day! Today’s kitchen reveal from our Aveituna Project uses the prettiest statement tile. We’re excited to show it off and share all sources from the space. Read on for details of how created this cool gray coastal kitchen.

This project is a pretty layering of cool and warm tones. Our favorite element is the statement tile backsplash. We used hand painted terracotta tile from Tabarka Studio. The pattern is Mediterranean 26. The gray on warm white background elevates the entire space with an inviting custom vibe. A design tip for creating an airy, high-end look in a kitchen is to  pair open shelving with backsplash and cabinets that run all the way to the ceiling. You can see here how it emphasizes the height of the room.
We paired the tile with Benjamin Moore Smoke Embers and then warmed the grays in the space with brass and wood accents. The range hood is custom stained to match the flooring. The cabinetry hardware is a warm brushed brass from SchoolHouse Electric. We used the Edgecliff Pull and Mid Century Knob.

The space was finished with warm furniture and styling pieces. We added stacked wood and marble cutting boards, ceramic planters with greens (similar here), and a beautiful red vintage rug (similar here, here, here, and here). The counter stools are a beautiful distressed leather.

This beautiful kitchen uses the cool tones and warm organics of coastal design for a kitchen that feels fresh and inviting. Shop below to get the look and be sure to check back soon for more peeks into this year’s design portfolio.

Happy Tuesday!

  1. Did you match the faucet to the cabinet hardware? It looks close. I want antiqued/aged hardware and trying to match a faucet thanks
