We always add a rug to every bedroom we design, even if the space is already carpeted. A rug transforms the room with color, pattern, and texture. Plus, it adds a plush welcoming softness under foot. But a rug that is too small or too large can throw off the look and feel of a space. So today, continuing our Rug Size Rules Series, we’re sharing tips to help you decide the rug size you need for your bedroom.
Following these three rules and using the guide to help you decide the look you like based on your bed size and furniture. Although in a small room you can sometimes get away with a 5’x8’for a queen and a 8’x10′ for a king, we almost always size up to really fill the space. We love the way the color, pattern, and texture of the rug you pick helps to define the style of your home and we like it to be visible.
