The kitchen of our Sunset Shores Project has an effortless light-filled vibe with a soft, sun-washed palette of creamy whites, sandy beiges, and dark counters that create a beautiful layering of neutrals. The kitchen is elevated, but welcoming and today we are sharing the sources we used to create our look.

Flooring

For this kitchen, we used the durable flooring we love best from our Becki Owens x HEWN collection. Made to mimic the white oak floors we love, these  Stoneform floors are crafted largely from stone but built to capture the dimension, texture, and feel of traditional flooring—without the upkeep, risk, or cost. The floors are resilient, waterproof, and eco-friendly. It’s one of our go to choices for family and pet friendly homes. This color is Allure.

Paint

The white walls are painted Benjamin Moore Simply White. This crisp white has just a tiny hint of warmth, making it a favorite. It works with both warm and cool toned features in the space without pulling too warm or cold.

Cabinets and Islands

The cabinets are custom, created from rift sawn oak and stained a honey matte that matches the other wood features in the house. The island  and floating shelves are stained with a black glaze. The contrast of the two wood tones creates beautiful dimension.

Countertops

The countertops are a porcelain from Caesarstone. We love the way they so closely mimic real stone without sacrificing durability. The color is Locura.

Styling

The room is finished off with elements to add both warmth and modern edge. The light above the island is a stand-out feature of the space, the Destiny Pendant. The hanging glass orbs float, filling the space with warm light. A vintage Turkish rug creates a soft step underfoot, warm woods and stone accents provide functional decoration, and two different counter stools, the Chico Counter Stool and the Bella Counter Stool, further add depth with a mix of woods.
