When our clients have a need for a work space, but don’t have a designated study or home office, we try and incorporate it into a space to accommodate their needs. Whether it’s in a master bedroom or in a family room, a writing desk can serve as practical piece of furniture without taking over or looking out of place. We love the glass desk in this coastal master bedroom. The transparency of the desk doesn’t distract from the surrounding views and adds beauty to the space. The rest of the decor was kept minimal with a upholstered linen chair and basket for storage. A tall floor lamp was placed next to the desk, leaving the desk simple and uncluttered. Not only does this space blend well with the rest of the master suite, it creates a functional element in an unused area of the room. We hope you enjoy this example of creating a work space in your home. For resources see below. Have a good day.
