Today I’m excited to share pictures of the living room space from my Cadiz Project. This living area is part of an open floor plan design that includes an entryway and the kitchen area. My vision was to create a space with an inviting, family friendly, bohemian vibe. I wanted the space to be stylish and ready to entertain young families.
The basis for this living room design is a soft neutral palette. The walls are painted Benjamin Moore Stonington Gray. I started with neutral, upholstered, mid-century style furniture for a more modern feel. With such a clean, simple foundation, I decided to have a little fun, picking a bold, black, overdyed rug. The rug brought interest to the space, grounding the room with bohemian style.
The focal point of this space is a mid-century buffet with a large, round gold mirror. The crisp, white color of the buffet gives the room a fresh pop. I added a gold round mirror to make the space feel larger and add a little shine. Then, collected finds were used to style the buffet. A turquoise lamp and books with a surprise of pink were layered in for vibrant color.
The mid-century chair and wood coffee table give warmth to the space with mixed lines. I love the imperfect, curved lines of the table. One of my favorite elements of the space if the greenery for the plants. They bring life to the space with beautiful color.
The pillows are a collection of tribal and watercolor prints that tie in the bold color of the rug. Black and white textiles give the space a subtle edge. I finished styling the living room with textured baskets and cozy, ethnic style throws.
The mix of mid-century and global inspired elements in this living room come together to create a bohemian, eclectic space. I had a lot of fun designing this home for wonderful client. You can view more of the spaces of this home here and here. See below to get the look. Have a wonderful afternoon.

Hello Becki,
Would you please tell me where I can get the cactus water color print in your Cadiz project. Your highlighted link for this was an error. It pulls up the Guildery website instead.
Thank you,
Tiffany
You can get it at Lulu and Georgia!
Could you please tell me if you used full strength “Stonington Gray” paint? It looks so much lighter in this room than another project I saw you use it in and I really like it. Great work, as always!! 🙂
It is full strength. Thanks
