Project Reveal: Modern Black Tile Bathroom

Happy Halloween week! The holiday has us feeling dark and dramatic and so it’s the perfect time to share the images and details of our Town Center Project bathroom. Bold matte black tile pairs with brass and natural wood accents to create a fresh modern space. Take a look!

The contrast between the black and white grout and tile creates drama in the space. We used this affordable subway tile in a pretty matte black and paired it with classic white penny tile.

The custom wood vanity and brass fixtures add warmth to the black and white and helps to soften the contrast to create an inviting space. Our Town Center project adds modern elements with old world details for a Spanish Modern vibe. We used a medium tone stain on the vanity to get that midcentury modern look and used these really cool bronze pulls (on SALE!).

A modern mix of metals adds interest to the bathroom and creates a collected feel. With the bronze pulls we mixed in a polished nickel frame mirror and brass hardware and lighting. We love the clean lines of the faucet and shower kit and the way they add pretty shine to the space.

Open shelving with woven baskets add additional storage while a wooden stool provides an additional seat without taking up space.

Finishing touches on the space mean styling with a pop of green, soft fringed towels, and pretty hand soap. Fresh greens in a space make it feel fresh and clean. If your bathroom has no natural light source, we also love going faux. See our favorite styling plants in our Succulent Guide and Faux Plant Guide.

Our Spanish Modern Project uses rich color and layered pattern for a beautiful fresh Old World feel. To see more, read about the kitchen, patterned tile bathroom, bunk room, and this pretty layered bedroom. For more black tile inspiration read Design Trend: Black Tile Kitchens.
