Our Oasis Project is a modern desert dream that blends laid-back luxury with warm minimalism. Set against the striking red rock backdrop of southern Utah, the home embraces its surroundings through earthy materials. In the bathrooms, this aesthetic lead us to experimenting with trending tile looks. We love how it turned out, take a look.
Terrazzo Tile

Terrazzo has come back on the radar over the last few years and in this space we are loving it. The man-made tile is a composite of natural stones and the subtle array of neutral colors create a really pretty pattern. We used terrazzo on the floor and ran it into the shower for a seamless look.

Pastel Colors

While earthy neutrals are a beautiful look, we love the more unique choice here of picking a nature inspired-tone in soft color. This soft blue is an oasis, a soothing color that contrasts with the red-rock dessert outside the window. We love how the blue variations add ocean like depth to the space.

Mixed Tile

In several of the bathrooms, we stacked two different tiles against each other for greater variation and interest.

Zellige Tile

We get asked a lot if zellige tiles are a trend that’s here to stay. Our answer? They are timeless! The handcrafted tiles have an artisan quality that is inherently beautiful, despite current trends.

We can’t wait to share more of this modern desert home with you. To see more and to shop the home, visit here at Becki Owens Living.
