Bathrooms these days are anything but boring. From beautiful lighting and textured accents, to statement cabinetry and unique tiles, these spaces can have some of the best character in a home. While there isn’t any, if very little furniture in a bathroom, the vanity serves as a key element of the design. It’s also where you can have a little fun and considering a few different options. One of our favorite bathroom design trends is floating vanities. We’ve used them for several years in many of our projects. Today we are sharing how we have incorporated this trend in our recent projects.

Floating vanities are great options for giving your bathroom a clean, updated look. From rustic to modern and minimal they work in any design plan. We have been moving from all white to more warm wood vanities, but this clean, white example from our Desert Oasis project never gets old.
One of our favorite customizations is adding an additional floating shelf for storage. It serves two purposes, a functional element and another visual layer for interest.
In small spaces, a floating vanity is a great way to make your bathroom appear more open. We love the continued effect the flooring extended under the counter gives. It’s an overall larger feel.
Floating vanities are a smart choice to accommodate different height requirements. For example in a kids space you can lower the vanity or if you have a taller individual in the household you can raise the vanity. In this way, floating vanities are more of a flexible design option.
The mix of warm woods with both light and dark counters has been a favorite for our projects recently. We love the rich look this dark stone gives this space.
