Made Primarily from Natural Material

True Grain Technology

Historically, similar flooring products have 5-8 unique planks before the print design and texture repeats. At Hewn, we provide 18-20 unique planks before the pattern repeats—creating a more natural-looking floor. Our True Grain Technology sets us apart from the vast majority of flooring companies in the United States.

Embossed in Register with a Matte Finish

The surface of each plank is stamped to make it look and feel like traditional hardwood flooring. The knots and texture of the planks coincide with the visual patterns and variations.

Enhanced Beveled Edge

Designed to mimic a chamfered edge (v-groove bevel edge cut along an edge or across a corner connecting two surfaces) which is then painted to add distinction between individual planks. The enhanced beveled edge is designed to make each plank stand out and look unique—just like traditional hardwood. Don’t worry, the groove isn’t deep and won’t collect dust or dirt.

Ceramic Bead-Infused Wear Layer

The 30 mil wear layer is designed to handle the demands of real life. Whether it’s kids, pets, water, etc, the ceramic bead-infused wear layer is up to the challenge. Test it out yourself and let us know the results!

Attached Underlayment Padding

100% waterproof, impervious to mildew, mold, rot, and bacteria, the attached underlayment is an excellent insulator and sound absorber. No additional padding is needed, but we do recommend a 6 mil vapor barrier if installing over a concrete surface (or subfloor).
