Art elevates your home. It adds personality and color or pattern. It fills a blank wall and makes the space feel complete. But when hung incorrectly or when the scale of the artwork is off in the space, it can feel awkward. Here are a few rules for hanging artwork to help you nail the look.
Eye Level

Place art at “eye level” considering ceiling height and your own height. This is usually a bit lower than many people think. You want the gaze to feel restful, without having to look up.
Become One

Treat collection of art as one piece, starting and stopping where it makes sense as if it were one piece of art.
Fill the Wall

Use as much wall space as possible and align the collection with the shape of the wall to avoid making art look small and unintentional.
Bigger is Better

Slightly “too big” art is always better than too small. So if you have to choose, go big. It looks like you made a statement with a really cool choice instead of a size accident.
