Project Reveal: Summit Creek Kitchen

We shared sneak peeks of this Utah Valley Parade of Homes 2019 kitchen on Instagram, but today we are excited for a full reveal. Nestled into the peaks of the Wasatch Mountains, this home features stunning views, a rich organic vibe, and a transitional kitchen that fits the modern home while still feeling warm and inviting. We worked with Split Rock Custom Homes on this build and we were both very honored to win the 2019 Judges Choice Award for our collaboration.Take a look at how we created this beautiful layered white and wood space.

This kitchen is a layering of white, black, and wood to create a modern organic vibe with plenty of warmth. It’s an interior that flows with the expansive mountain view out the windows.

The oak wood flooring has plenty of warmth with a touch of rustic texture. We used the Carmel Collection from Oasis Wood Flooring in the color Fresh Traditions.

The cabinetry is two tone, with warm wood and fresh white. The mix creates a more interesting space that still feels crisp and clean. We used Benjamin Moore White Dove in a Satin Finish. Although we like the modern look of a flat paint, in a kitchen we like the durability and washability of a harder paint with a touch of sheen.

Black accents throughout the space add depth and a bit of drama. We used these dark oak and upholstered mid-century saddle stools, painted the pantry door black, and used dark metal statement lights. The lights are from our Collection with Hudson Valley Lighting! Above the island, we used the Ren Pendant in Aged Brass and paired it with the Ivy Sconce in Old Bronze above the window.

We finished the space with a beautiful Moroccan Cactus Silk runner. The one we used is one of a kind, but get a similar look here or here. Finding and using a unique rug is one of our very favorite kitchen styling tips. It adds so much personality to a space.

We will be sharing more rooms from this home, so be sure to check back soon!

Happy Monday!

Hello may I ask what company made the cabinets? I know you matched the stain to the floor, but the actual cabinet design and selection of white oak is gorgeous. Thanks for any information!
