Last week we launched our new line in the Becki Owens x Hewn collection! We are so excited and thrilled by the response. The wood-alternative flooring captures the same look, feel, and use as our previous line, but now at a more affordable price point. So which line is best for your project? Today we want to compare the original Stoneform Elite to the new Stoneform Select. Not yet familiar with HEWN flooring? Catch up here and then read on!

Quality Level and Durability

Stoneform Elite: This is the top-tier option—think of it as the “luxury” version. It has a thicker protective layer on top (called a wear layer) that’s 30 mils (or 0.75mm) thick. That means it’s extra tough against scratches and wear, making it great for high-traffic areas like kitchens or living rooms. It’s built to last a long time, even in busy homes or business settings.

Stoneform Select: This is the entry-level option—still awesome but a bit simpler. Its wear layer is thinner at 20 mils (or 0.5mm), so it’s better suited for quieter spaces like bedrooms or less busy homes. It’s still durable and waterproof, just not as heavy-duty as Elite.

Size and Look

Stoneform Elite: These planks are extra wide and long (9 inches by 72 inches), giving your floor a bold, modern, high-end look—like something you’d see in a designer home. They also have deeper edges (called enhanced bevels) that make each plank stand out more, adding to that fancy wood vibe.

Stoneform Select: These planks are a bit narrower and shorter (7 inches by 48 inches), so they give a more classic, understated look. The edges are smaller (micro-bevels), which still looks nice but isn’t as dramatic as Elite.

Warranty

Stoneform Elite: Comes with a 20-year warranty for homes and a 10-year warranty for light commercial use. That’s how confident they are it’ll hold up!

Stoneform Select: Also has a 20-year warranty for homes, but it doesn’t cover commercial spaces. It’s made for everyday home life.

Price

Stoneform Elite: Since it’s the premium option, it costs a bit more (usually around $5 – $5.50 per square foot, depending on the style). You’re paying for the thicker protection and bigger planks.

Stoneform Select: This one’s more budget-friendly (closer to $3–$4 per square foot), so it’s a great pick if you want quality without spending as much.
