Our Simpatico Project is full of warmth and texture. Charming architectural details like arched doorways combine with earthy surfaces to create an airy layered space. In the kitchen, efficiency is maximized with floor to ceiling custom cabinetry, dual islands, and a butlers pantry. Take a look at this beautiful kitchen and take note on sources to recreate a similar look in your own home!

Floors and Paint

We alway love to build a foundation of airy warmth. In this home, we started with white oak floors from HB Logistics. We paired the light flooring with white walls painted our favorite Benjamin More Chantilly Lace. We love this white paint because it creates a fresh clean vibe without pulling a too-warm yellow or too-cool blue in almost every space.

Cabinetry and Counters

We color matched the kitchen’s custom oak cabinetry and islands to the flooring to create a seamless warm flow from the ground all the way up the wall. Brass hardware adds additional subtle warmth. The countertops are Calacatta Castana Quartz in a satin finish, 2 cm with a 2″ mitered edge. Although we love natural stone, we often go with quartz when clients want a fuss-free material that doesn’t etch or stain.

Range Hood and Tile

We finished the range hood with smooth plaster that complements the textured stone of the range backsplash. We used Cle Tiles, Fundamentals line, 2.5″x8″ in White Gloss. The tile is set straight stack in stead of staggered for a look that is more modern. We love the clean lines juxtaposed against the traditional curved arches in the space. It’s a mix of styles and ideas that creates a more interesting space.

Kitchen Butlers Pantry

The attached Butlers Pantry is so functional. It allows for extra storage and appliances to be tucked away out of site. These spaces are especially great for families that like to entertain. You can make a mess in this hidden space while keeping the public spaces clean and inviting.
