The change of season always feels like a new beginning. Spring, full of fresh air and sunshine, seems like the perfect time to clean out and refresh your home. You don’t have to make big changes or spend a lot of money. Small affordable updates can make a room feel new. Today, we are making it simple with one easy update for each space in your home using some favorite affordable finds we’ve used in recent projects. Happy Spring!
Kitchen
A few stacked cutting boards make a kitchen feel intentionally styled while adding warmth and beauty. We found these at Target for under $20.
Dining
Good lighting transforms a room. Although you can easily spend thousands on lighting, you do not have to. Even chandeliers can be found for a few hundred dollars. In this dining nook we used this beautiful brass eight-light chandelier.
Living
Add a whole new vibe or color into your living room with new pillows. Add a new pattern to what you already have for an eclectic boho vibe, or start over and try a new look. Our pillows in our Brio Project Living Space are all sourced from Etsy, our favorite site for unique finds.
Laundry
Laundry rooms can become cluttered with ugly bottles and piles of clothes. Hide everything away in pretty baskets. We like these affordabe, high quality ones from Pottery Barn.
Bathroom
Add style and texture to your bathroom with Turkish towels. You can pick them up affordably, and they add a pretty global vibe to your space. We found these with gray stripe towels at Wayfair.
Bedroom
Create a lush layered look in the bedroom by adding a throw blanket to the foot of your bed or draped across a corner chair. We love the amazing Moroccan Pom Pom Blankets at One Kings Lane or Serena and Lily, but when we need one at a more affordable price, we source them directly from Morocco via Etsy.
Entry
Entries are usually small space, so it’s nice when the design budget can also stay small. Instead of a more expensive console table, consider an entry bench. They are useful and welcoming. Add extra personality by styling yours with a few favorite throw pillows.
