A beautiful kitchen remodel caught our eye on Instagram and we are excited to share it! The kitchen was designed and executed by the homeowner, Kelly, the influencer behind the photography, food, and lifestyle blog, A Side of Sweet. Full of rich color, statement marble, and thoughtful details, the kitchen transformation is beautiful and you are going to be inspired. Take a look!

Before

The original 1981 San Francisco home had a structural wall separating the kitchen from the dining and living rooms. Removing and reframing with new structural beams allowed Kelly and her husband to change to an open floor plan kitchen with a huge island.

The layout alone is a huge improvement, but the finishes make the transformation beautiful. Richly saturated blue cabinetry feels both bold and timeless. The color is Keswick Blue by Stoffer Home Cabinetry. In contrast to the cool blue color, walnut shelving in the corner, brass hardware, and a vintage runner add depth and warmth.

The natural stone is a major statement maker in the space with seamless integration between the counter and backsplash. Taking the stone all the way to the ceiling creates a very high end look. The heavily veined, warm stone is Calacatta Paonazetto Marble. Although marble takes more upkeep and care then man-made quartz, it adds incredible organic beauty and character to the space.

Hestan appliances from Purcell Murray in San Fransisco stand out it the space. The beautiful 48 inch range creates a focal point. Kelly loves the professional restaurant quality with the unique handle design and the panel-ready dishwasher, fridge, and freezer. Blending the appliances with the cabinetry feels less choppy, elevates the space, and makes the kitchen feel for more expansive.

A homeowner favorite detail is the Zip Water Hydrotap System. The faucet dispenses filtered chilled, boiling, and sparkling water. Talk about a dream! The thoughtful details personalize the space.
