Modern Bohemian Master Bath Retreat

One of the best parts of the design process is creating a space that is a reflection of the client. When my client asked that her bathroom be a peaceful place to relax with a global vibe.  I knew it would be a fun room to design. What developed was a fresh room filled with Moroccan influences and colorful accents. A space to relax, unwind and feel refreshed. Take a look into the master bathroom of my Las Palmas project.

The room started with a crisp white foundation that was refreshing in itself. But to add interest and make the space come alive I added some colorful and warm accessories.

The vintage kilim rug was the perfect way to add vibrant color, while the ladder gives the space some warmth and created the perfect spot to hang fringed turkish towels.  I chose black round mirrors to tie in the dark accents in the room. These colors work to ground the space and give it a unique, modern, edge.

A Moroccan style pendant makes a statement over the simple, clean lines of the freestanding tub and pairs well with the brass cabinetry hardware and wall sconces. I like the added texture of the woven shade and the soft filtered light it lets through.

A sculptural stool and wood framed mirror gives the bathroom a collected feel and creates a spot to prepare for the day.

I loved creating this bathroom for my client. It’s definitely a space that feels happy, a place to escape and feel a sense of calm. To see more options for freestanding tubs  like the one I used this bathroom you can visit my post from earlier this week here. Have a wonderful Wednesday!!
