This last weekend my family and I took a much needed vacation to the Montage Deer Valley in the Utah Mountains. We arrived at this beautiful hotel surrounded by a winter wonderland. Even though it is April, it was snowing. The atmosphere of the hotel and the surrounding snow covered mountains created a magical weekend for me and my family. The hotel was cozy, the service excellent, and there were tons of activities for my kids.
The hotel is only five minutes from downtown Park City but sits right at the base of Deer Valley Resort. Three chairlifts give ski in/ski out access to the runs.
The hotel made this trip so fun for my kids. On arrival, the girls were given a sleigh full of stuffed animals. There was a gourmet s’more bar, amazing indoor pool, a bowling alley, and fire pits with big blazing fires.
The hotel design is cozy and elegant with rustic wood and rich furnishings. In the public spaces there were plenty of quiet nooks for relaxing, chatting, or playing board games with the kids. Our private room was beautiful and comfortable with original artwork, a gas fireplace and five-fixture marble bathroom. It felt like we were staying in an Old World European chateau. I was definitely taking note of all the beautiful design.
My family and I feel so lucky to have had this beautiful weekend together relaxing in the Wasatch Mountains at this breath-taking resort. It’s a trip I would definitely recommend. A huge thank you to the Montage Deer Valley for creating this memorable weekend.
