It might be surprising to know that even though I live right by the beach, I don’t get to it as often as I would like. I’m not complaining, I love living and working in Southern California, but I still find myself looking forward to family beach days and warm weather vacations to unwind. With a busy schedule managing work and family, I find myself shopping for versatile items that will look great while I’m working, but that I can also throw in a suitcase for a fun escape.

Just because life is busy doesn’t mean it’s hard to stay on trend. Nordstrom has made it super easy for me to find pieces I can use everyday or on vacation. I just found this pretty Eliza J lace dress that I can dress up or down and paired it with these new Dolce Vita sandals that are under $100. For work I layered the dress with a leather jacket. When I’m ready for a vacation, the whole look packs well. I can just throw the dress over a swim suit, grab my sunglasses and beach bag and I’m ready to go.
