Our Three Falls Project is a beauty where traditional meets modern rustic with exposed stone, warm honey woods, earthy accent paints, and beautiful furnishings for a space that welcomes with comfort and warmth. Today we are showing how we created a warm rustic kitchen that stills has the crisp freshness we love.
Floor to ceiling stone is the major statement in this open-concept space. We love how bringing exterior stone into interior walls blurs the line between indoor and out. We used Prominence Stone, Normandy Blend. It adds incredibly organic beauty and natural warmth to the space.
Warm woods coordinate with stone and further add warmth. We used white oak for the custom cabinetry and Monarch Lago in the Ampola colorway for the hardwood floors.
To balance all this warmth, we used our favorite crisp white paint on the walls, Benjamin Moore’s Chantilly Lace. This is a beautiful white to used in light-filled spaces. It almost always reads as a clean white, without skewing too warm or cool. We color matched the plaster range hood for a seamless look.
The two-tone counters are Calacatta Gold marble (also repeated on the backsplash) and Silestone Charcoal Soapstone. With so much incredibly useful counter space, the two different stones ensure a more interesting look.
The black from the counters is carried throughout the space as an accent color. We chose black metal in the pendant lanterns from Urban Electric, black cabinet hardware, and black counter stools.
The stools are available on Becki Owens Living! We used two different looks to maximize seating at the island and to create a dynamic look. The Hannah Kitchen Stool uses woven almond leather and black ash to create a beautiful family-friendly stool. The Wes Kitchen Stool uses simple lines, rough texture, and antique brass to create a look that is both rustic and glam. We love how it tucks under the counter for a minimalist look.
We can’t wait to show you how this kitchen blends into all the other functional spaces in this open-concept area. Check back for more!
