We are so excited to share images and spill all the design details of our Pura Vista Project kitchen today! This Parade Home is spacious and airy with sweeping views of the outdoors. The kitchen is open and adjacent to both the living and dining spaces. Take a look how we blended the design of the kitchen into the overall floor plan while defining the space with beautiful statement accents.
In this open, airy space we made design selections with the intention of creating inviting warmth. We didn’t want the space to feel cavernous or empty. We grounded the sweeping height with rustic oak beams and chose a soft white for both the ceiling and walls. Benjamin Moore Seapearl has soft gray undertones that create depth in the space while still feeling like a fresh white.
A massive waterfall edge island and oversize pendant lighting define the kitchen and make it a space of its own within the larger footprint. These elements fill the space in an inviting way. The stone is Carrara marble and is inset with the same white oak used throughout the kitchen. The combination of cool marble and warm wood is a favorite of ours for adding organic beauty and interest.
The beautiful flooring is part of the Becki Owens Collection from HEWN floors in the Weathered color. We love this wood-alternative durable flooring. Crafted largely from from stone, the floors have the rich warm beauty of wood but hold up effortlessly to kids, pets, water, and general ware-and-tear. The color is made to recreate the beauty of European oak and it blends seamlessly with the white oak cabinetry and floating shelves in the space.
The Carrara marble counters extend up the wall to the shelves and cabinetry to create a seamless backsplash. An arched hood with a light wood curvature adds definition to the space.
A mix of metals adds interest in the space. The faucet and pot filler are from the Moen Align series in Black Stainless. The classic knobs on the upper cabinets are polished nickel. We love the way the two metals blend.
Although the space is full of rich warmth, the clean linear lines have a modern feel. We emphasized this with walnut counter stools in a classic midcentury shape. Shop similar here.
