The glass wall in this room overlooks the living room downstairs. It’s a custom detail that really elevates the design, opens up the space, and floods it with light. To emphasize this bright airiness, we painted the walls Benjamin Moore Chantilly Lace. This is a favorite white paint for creating a crisp clean look.

We paired the white paint with Benjamin Moore Smoke Embers for the TV built-in space and white oak for the custom built-in desk. We like breaking up the white wall with a little warmth for contrast. (For more of our go-to paints be sure you’ve checked out our Paint Resource Guide).

Key to the loft space is comfortable furniture. We chose this beautiful gray sectional from Article. It’s plush for lounging but still has the sleek clean-lined aesthetic we wanted in the airy space. Article is a favorite source of ours for modern furniture that is still inviting and livable.

We paired the sofa with a woven chair and piled both with neutral patterned pillows and soft throws. Cozy textiles are essential in any space made for lounging.

We wanted a space that matched the clean modern aesthetic of the home, but still invited the family in to lounge, hang out, watch movies, or study in a comfortable space.
