Project Reveal: Brio Guest Bedroom

We’ve been sharing the crisp white images from our Brio Project bedrooms. Today, I am excited to share the guest bedroom. This modern bohemian space has a fresh neutral foundation with layers of soft texture and bold pattern. Take a look!

Throughout this home, we started with a fresh foundation of light European oak wide-plank floors and crisp white walls. We used Benjamin Moore Chantilly Lace, a favorite white of ours when we are really want a clean white that emphasizes natural light.

Against the white walls, the amazing rattan bed makes a statement. The curved headboard is tall and substantial, but the simple cross pattern keeps it feeling airy. We layered it with soft white linen, a striped pom-pom throw, and a vintage textile pillow. We paired the bed with simple white and brass nightstands. Mixing the color and material of the furniture in your space creates a modern collected feel. I like to do this in all my bedrooms, but it’s definitely a must if you’re going for an effortless boho vibe.

We grounded the space with this natural-fiber rug that adds lots of texture, and then layered it with a smaller vintage turkish rug for color and pattern. This is a great way to style your space on a budget. Jute and sisal rugs are affordable even in large sizes so you can use them to fill the room while putting your money towards a smaller statement rug you love.

Above the unique wood and brass dresser is an oversize round metal mirror that fills the space. This mirror is so big and such a great price. Get it if you love the round mirror trend. For extra seating we added a woven bench (also love these here, here, and here) and styled it with neutral patterned pillows. Pretty brass hooks on the wall help keep everyday essentials organized.

We always finish styling a space with a few unique decorative pieces (modern pinched black vase, inlay bone box, and this cool geometric candle) and a bit of fresh green. In here, macrame plant holders (also a beautiful handmade option on Etsy here) hang in the corner and feel sculptural.

Right outside the bedroom door, cactus prints in brass frames add a pop of color to the bright hallway.
