Our Favorite Alternative to Bathroom Vanity Lighting

Great lighting in the bathroom elevates the entire space. It’s worth splurging on. One look we like, as an alternative to traditional vanity bars and sconces, are pendant lights. Pendant lights can be an unexpected design detail. We like the way it draws the eye up to create height in the space. Here are a few different ways we have been adding them to our recent bathroom designs.

Overlapping the Mirror

Overlap your lighting and mirror to form a pretty vignette. The look highlights the blend of metals and materials, showing off an especially pretty fixture or your intentional metal mixing in the space.

Framing the Mirror

Pendant lighting drops down to frame your mirror in the prettiest way and fills the space. Two pendants surrounding a single mirror is beautiful, or in a large bathroom consider a series of mirrors with a pendants framing each one. It’s a look that makes a statement.

Above a Freestanding Tub

Create a stunning focal point in the space with a large statement pendant hanging above your freestanding tub. It’s a beautiful way to add in texture and shape to the space.
