This beautiful bunk space in our Rosemary Project is a soothing retreat with space to sleep a crowd, a long built-in desk to get work done, and a beautiful attached bathroom to help make guests feel comfortable. Today we are sharing all the details on how we created the look.

Paint

The soft pretty color of the bunkrooms makes a statement. In a kids room, we love straying from the neutrals we usually lean towards. Here, the greenish blue of Sherwin Williams Sea Salt adds the perfect dose of soothing color. We paired it with the same same white walls we used throughout the home, Benjamin Moore Sea Pearl.

Flooring

The flooring is a brand new color, Riviera, from the Becki Owens x HEWN collection. We specifically designed this color for this project, so this color holds a special place in our hearts. Riviera is a bright, light wood color that was built to pair perfectly with our favorite coastal modern looks. We used this color throughout the home to create an expansive, cohesive look.

Room Dimensions

We frequently get asked how big a room has to be if you want double built-in bunks. To gibe you an idea, this room is 14’8” x 16’3” and has 9′ ceilings.

Bathroom Tile

To see the beautiful attached bathroom, watch the video tour of the space below. The zellige tile is so pretty and blends with the fun bunk color. We used zellige from Zia Tile, 4″x4″ in Sayulita
