Fresh and Beachy Master Bedroom

December 26, 2014

When we designed this space we wanted it to reflect the cool neutral tones of the ocean. The walls are 25 % strength Anew Gray from Sherwin Williams and the trim and ceiling are plain white. We started with a light blue geometric rug. Then we picked an oatmeal linen upholstered bed with white Matteo bedding. When we decorate we like to mix light and dark woods and different textures to create interest and a more collected feel. That’s why we placed the mirrored light wood nightstands next to the rich, dark wood bed frame. Large aqua glass lamps on the nightstand are a reminder of sea glass. At the base of the bed we choose two tufted linen chairs and mirrored nesting tables to create a sitting area. Overlooking the space is a prism, fringe chandelier reflecting the expanse of natural light in the room. We choose Laurel Liess textiles for our pillow and drapery fabric.  As a final touch, we added a variety of ceramic and glass vases for fresh flowers. The details of this fresh beachy master bedroom make it elegant and serene. See more pictures of this room and some items below for you to recreate this look. Have a great weekend.

I love the chests next to the bed with the mirrored cabinets. Where are they from?

Where are the chairs and nesting tables from at the end of the table? I love them! The links to OKL are slightly different.

The nesting tables are from Crate n Barrel and the chairs we got from an import store.
