Family Ties Custom Build / Rebekah Westover Photography / Artwork: “In Depth”

February is the month of love, and so this month we are sharing styling tips, design looks, and products we love. First up? Art. We love styling with art. It creates a vibe, adding color, texture, and dimension to your space. Take a look at our favorite looks.

Photography

Photography always plays a big part in our projects. We love shots that capture the beauty of nature. It brings the outdoors in and supplements the earthy woods and organic textures we like to use. Go large in an entry, create a view in a windowless laundry room, or layer in a favorite photograph on your kitchen shelves. Minted is our favorite source for photographic prints. Browse here!

Oils

Desert Oasis Project / Rachel Westover Photography

Oils add rich color and depth to your space. Because they are most affordable in smaller sizes, we love styling them on our book and kitchen shelves as a layer that creates an Artisan sophistication. We love them styled on both book and kitchen shelves. Our favorite place to source original and vintage oils is on Etsy.

Textiles

Framed textiles are the prettiest way to add a global artisan vibe to your space. Handmade pieces are timeless and add beautiful texture. Hang a Turkish rug, frame a square of cactus silk or mudcloth, or any favorite quilting or weaving. All our favorite retailers are stocking textile art this year. Shop the slider below for a few ideas.

Abstract

Add a graphic pop when an abstract piece. We love these in both neutrals and bright colors throughout the home. West Elm always carries affordable abstract prints.

Dried Botanicals

Beach Front Project / Rebekah Westover Photography / Palm Leaf Shadow Box Art

We love to layer in organic textures to add interest to neutral spaces. Dried and framed botanicals are such a pretty way to bring nature in.

Happy February! Check back soon for more looks we LOVE.
