We love to start the year looking forward to new projects, new inspiration, and new trends. Throughout January we will be sharing the looks we are still loving, and those we are seeing emerge and can’t wait to incorporate into our designs in 2021. Today we are starting in the kitchen with five fresh trends we and our clients are loving.
Light Wood Cabinetry

Light wood cabinetry in the kitchen adds warmth to our Family Ties Kitchen without sacrificing the light airy vibe of a “white kitchen.” It’s a trend that is only getting more popular and is definitely still on our design boards for 2021.
Bold Marble
Rustic vibes have dominated the last few years. It’s such a homey vibe, and we are excited to see the look last. But lately, we have been noticing the trend turning to more elevated glam looks. Update your counter and backsplash with bold marble rich with color and dramatic veining.
Double and Oversize Islands

Working and schooling at home has everyone thinking about more multi-functional spaces. Double Islands in the kitchen create space not only for food prep, but also homework and hanging out.
Warm Neutrals
Black, white, and dark blue kitchens continue to trend, but lately we are seeing them done mixed with plenty of warmth. Creamy paint and lots of light wood tones soften the crisp modern look.
Organic Layers
Layers of organic materials like raw wood, natural slab counters, and ceramic accents bring outdoor textures in and creates a rich neutral look. This year we are excited to further blur the lines between indoor and out with stone accent walls. We’re using the look in an upcoming project and we can’t wait to share.
