Today we are sharing two kitchen transformations that caught our eye this week. Both are so pretty and you’ll be saving both for their tile, flooring, color and styling inspirations. But one other thing we loved about them is the reworked islands that make them more functional. Take a look at these two kitchen island transformations.

The kitchen is dramatic while still maintaining a fresh airy vibe. Notice the unique shape of the island? The asymmetrical shape provides plenty of storage without sacrificing seating. It’s a detail that also makes the kitchen feel unique and interesting.

This new build kitchen was pretty from the outset, but the homeowners wanted to upgrade from the builder standard to fit their needs and style. After closing, they extended the island and upgraded to marble. The cabinet color is custom by the cabinet maker, but the closest color match is Sherwin Williams Modern Gray. So beautiful.

An awkwardly angled island is reworked to open up the space. A waterfall counter in Calacatta Laza Quartz makes the island a showpiece.
