The Power of Paint: Our Favorite White Paints to Transform your Space

Villa Bonita 2 Project / Benjamin Moore Chantilly Lace

Paint can completely transform a space. It can create a new look, a new mood, and make old look new. Despite always changing color trends, a white space remains timeless and it’s the foundation we most like to start with in our projects. There are an overwhelming amount of white paints on the market, but we like to stick with the ones that always work for us. Today we are sharing our favorites.

Benjamin Moore White Dove

Summit Creek Project / Rebekah Westover Photography

In the sun drenched spaces of our Summit Creek Project, we wanted a white that pulled slightly creamy for a soft warm look. Benjamin Moore white dove has a warm undertone that never pulls gray or blue.

Chantilly Lace by Benjamin Moore is our favorite go-to white. Crisp and refreshing, it reads as a true white that doesn’t pull yellow or blue. We love it layered with creamy accents and warm woods.

Benjamin Moore Swiss Coffee

LA Project / Chad Mellon Photography

In this kitchen refresh, we painted the existing cherry-stained cabinetry white. We added a little dimension with a slightly creamier cabinetry against crisp white walls. Cabinet color is Benjamin Moore Swiss Coffee. Wall and ceiling color, Benjamin Moore Chantilly Lace.

Benjamin Moore Custom Blend

Villa Bonita Project

When we couldn’t find the perfect white for our the painted brick exterior of our Villa Bonita Project, we worked with Benjamin Moore to create a custom blend that would not be blindingly too white nor a too creamy yellow. We share the paint color in our Paint Resource Guide. For those of you new to the blog, download it here! In it we share all the most requested paint colors from our projects.

A painting project is the perfect way to create a fresh start in the new year. Share your white walls with us! #BeckiOwensFeature

I have a new build and it is actually a black exterior house (painted BM black Panther ) and I’m wanting all white walls inside throughout my entire house. We will be having black accents (black lower cabinets and black island, black accent walls- all black Panther ) We also have a few wood accents (wood wine room, wood accents on kitchen hood, wood benches and light wood flooring). Do you suggest Chantilly Lace or something less bright? I’m obsessed with your Custom Ties but not sure I have enough wood accents to pull off Chantilly Lace. Our house is facing West/Northwest if that helps!

Which white paint is best for an all White House interior with black accents and a few wood accents? Light wood floors too. House facing West/Northwest

Hi – You can paint them the same or use a white a bit warmer for contract. Our paint guide give more information on the different finishes to use on trim, cabinetry and walls to create subtle contrast. You can purchase it here.
