The New Colors of 2016

Pantone has announced their 2016 colors. The new colors of the year are Rose Quartz and Serenity. These are two colors that I love to use as accents in my own design. They create a calm and relaxing feeling in the home while adding subtle color. Layering them in vintage textiles, linens,or prints adds interest to a fresh neutral interior. The key to using these soft pastels without them feeling too precious is to use them as accents, or to ground them with dark colors and a modern edge. Below is a mix of inspiration and my designs with the use of these colors. I’m looking forward creating new designs with the colors of 2016.
