This time of year I find myself drawn to the beauty of Scandinavian style. The pure white interiors of Nordic design seem to have a calming feel about them. It’s a reminder to me that there is peace in simplicity. With the craze of the holiday season already beginning, I thought it would be nice to share some of this quiet, simple, white and rustic inspiration.
Cutting boards make for pretty accessories even outside the kitchen. I love this layered display on a fireplace mantle.
The wonderful, minimal style of these dining rooms are warmed by a signature wood floor, often seen in Scandinavian homes. They both have one of my favorite color combinations – black, white and natural wood.

The light in this bedroom and the color from live plants show the importance of organic elements in Nordic design. All the essentials for a restful place are in this space, laid out with the intention of maximizing the beauty of its natural surroundings.
I love that often the pop of color comes from indoor plants. Green is the perfect complement to these white and rustic spaces.
I hope you have enjoyed a peek into my love of Scandinavian style. To view more of my inspiration you can follow along on Pinterest. Have a wonderful holiday with your friends and family.
