Creating beautiful spaces starts with good foundations, but it’s the details that make a space feel inviting and give it personality. In our Rosemary project bunk room, we added a mix of textiles to add character for this fun kids space.
This beautiful bunk space in our Rosemary Project is a soothing retreat with space to sleep a crowd, a long built-in desk to get work done, and a beautiful attached bathroom to help make guests feel comfortable. Today we are sharing all the details on how we created the look.
Bunk rooms are a home design trend that we love. They are beautiful, but also so convenient when hosting a crowd. In our Elevated Views project we designed two bunk rooms connected by a Jack and Jill Bathroom. We designed each bunk space to sleep a crew of kids or an entire family, but feel sophisticated enough for adults. And although the design is meant for anyone, for clariy throughout the design process, we came to think of the spaces as the Boys Bunk Room and the Girls Bunk room. The boys bunk is highly functional but effortlessly beautiful with layered neutrals, Lux linens, interesting lighting, plenty of beds, and that wood statement wall that defines the space.
Welcome to the highly functional but effortlessly beautiful bunk room of our Elevated Views Project. Lux textiles, a soft color palette, interesting lighting, and plenty of beds all work to make the space a welcoming retreat for visiting guests. Apparently we really love bunk rooms, ha! They’ve become one of our signature spaces with many of our clients requesting we include one in their home plan. Bunk rooms can be so functional, whether you are planning a permanent spot for your own kids, or just wanting to be able to sleep a crowd in your home or vacation rental. Each bunk room we design is a little different, but here are a few looks we’ve loved and some design elements that we always include.
Design has turned to earthy neutrals in shades of browns. Love the look but don’t want to sacrifice the crisp feel of white? Take a look at how we created an earthy warm vibe in this fresh white bunk room and then create a similar look by shopping our favorites!
