Fresh White Foundation
The light and airy bedroom is painted our favorite white paint, Benjamin Moore Chantilly Lace. This paint reads as a true bright white in almost any light without being yellow or blue. We used it on both the walls and the custom built-in bunks. Each bunk starts with a white flax linen bedding layer. White sheets are the perfect base to build on and we love the way the linen creates a perfectly relaxed, lived-in vibe.
Layer Earth Tone Textiles
Shades of brown mix with crisp black and white to warm the space and blend with the wood-toned floor. A throw on each bed and pile of pillows adds plush softness. We chose a mix of browns and patterns that add depth and character to the white foundation.
Create Depth with Black Accents
Black accents throughout the space add necessary depth. We used black in the hardware, lighting, rug and bathroom vanity. In a bunk space designed to host a crowd, we always love to include a vanity with sinks so that when the bathroom is occupied, there is still space for doing hair, brushing teeth, etc. The black metal accents tie in to the bunks on the other side of the room.
