I think it’s really cool to see what interior designers are doing in different countries. In our Global Style Series, I’ve shared looks to love from Santorini Greece and Australian designers, Alana Smit and Olivia Babarczy. Today, I am excited to share a beautiful home set in the idyllic English Countryside. English designers seem to have nailed the modern farmhouse look we all love. Clean lines paired with color and natural woods for warmth and Old World charm. Take a look at this beauty by Sims Hilditch and be ready to be inspired by English design.
Look at this dreamy exterior. It’s from the 17th Century and filled with unique details that give it charm. Sims Hilditch worked to maintain authenticity while updating it for modern convenience.
The kitchen is part of an addition off the back of the original farmhouse. I love how although it feels fresh, small details create a warm lived-in feel of an old farmhouse. That stove is amazing, as is the beautiful cabinetry. I also like the color pallet–a blend of blue-gray, crisp white, and warm wood and stone.
The farmhouse is full of rich color and pattern. Orange pillows and terracotta pots add warmth that contrasts with the cool blue paint color. White industrial lighting pops against the taupe walls. The long banquette seating feels inviting and creates a space where everyone can comfortably gather.
