Sometimes you just want to know exactly what others are using so you can narrow the options. We are sharing the exact countertops we installed in several recent kitchens. In all four spaces we opted for man-made alternatives to natural stone. Although marble is beautiful, many of our clients prefer quartz or porcelain for being durable and maintenance free. A staple of our recent designs has been beautiful wide plank oak flooring. The look is light and airy with few lines to break up the space. We love light woods for their fresh coastal feel, but have also been turning to warmer medium tone woods. We are sharing all our most recent wood flooring picks so that you have a place to start with your own design. Remember the color scheme and amount of light in a space will greatly affect how these woods look, so be sure to order samples. Here are the wood floors we are currently using!

The Statement Lighting we are Currently Using in our Projects

In any space design, lighting can make a major statement. We love the way it can define an entire space, or be the perfect accent that ties different elements together. When selecting lighting don’t just think of shape and color, but also scale. In most cases, a tiny light in a large space kills the design. Also, don’t be afraid to mix metals or textures! Your sconce, lamps, pendants and chandeliers do not have to match. Intentionally and thoughtfully mixing your metals can add depth and interest to your space. Take a look at the statement lighting we have been using in our recent designs!
