Dream Kitchen: A Crisp Tuxedo with Warm Organic Accents

We’re sharing a kitchen today that you will love. It is not the first kitchen we have shared from @thebrothersstonington, but it might just be our favorite. Inset matte black and white cabinetry creates a crisp foundation warmed with wood beams, brass accents and natural stone.

A black and white kitchen is a timeless combination and a favorite of ours. Here, the look is updated with warm organic accents and mixed wood tones. The inset custom cabinetry is Alpine White and Matte Black from Stonington Cabinetry. The floor to ceiling design of the woodwork highlights the tall ceilings, creates a high-end feel, and adds to the overall function of the space.

Natural stone counters add drama to the space. Waterfall counters show off the beautiful veining of Olympian White Danby Marble. This is a domestic marble honed in Vermont. It’s known for it’s crisp white background, pretty veining, and durability.

Woven leather stools add another layer of organic warmth to the space. Get a similar look here or here or the look for less here. The geometric black and brass lantern pendants are from Urban Electric Co. We’ve used Urban Electric in our projects and the hand-crafted lights are works of art and look incredible in person. However, if they are out of your price range, these lanterns are a near exact match at a fraction of the price.

A wall of black-framed windows have a modern look that flood the space with light, while warm wood beams add a rustic vibe that grounds the space. A runner from Dash and Albert adds pattern and texture. These rugs are very durable and easily washed.
