Dream Home: Black, White, and Wood in British Columbia

There is a living room on Instagram that caught our eye last month. We shared it here. We love it for the wood ceiling, the window details, the dramatic black fireplace, and cozy decor. The talented home owner behind the design has been revealing more of her home and sharing beautiful shots of the incredible exterior and cozy neutral interior spaces. We’ve been following along with her on Instagram, and you should too! Take a look at this beautiful home and dream with us!

Exterior

The exterior is gorgeous with every angle thoughtfully and beautifully designed. The mix rustic materials blends with the beautiful surrounding forested hills. The chevron pattern is mimicked throughout. See it here on both the windows and railing? So cool.

Living Space

This is the room that first caught our eye. Yellow cedar ceiling grounds the soaring space adding warmth to the bright white walls.

Bedrooms

Statement lighting elevates a space. Here, Arteriors Tilda Chandelier adds texture to the light and airy room. Below, a mural statement wall adds personality to the bedroom. It’s a scened that blends indoor and out.

Bathrooms

The Cole and Sons wallpaper is such a statement maker. Finding ways to add texture and pattern is important when you plan on keeping the palette neutral. In the master bathroom below, wood floors create warmth and organic texture. Although you have to be more vigilant about standing water, wood floors in a bathroom are an option an are so beautiful.

Office

We love dark and moody offices, especially if a wall of windows with a view breaks up the dark color. Brass lighting pops in the space.
