Dream Home: A Rustic Midcentury Modern

While browsing blue imagery for yesterday’s post, I came across a beautiful home designed by Regan Baker Design. The house is unique–a fresh blend of midcentury and modern industrial that feels warm and inviting. Take a peek into this beautiful modern rustic dream home.

The kitchen is a beautiful pairing of warm rustic wood and a perfect shade of blue. The minimalist design emphasizes each pretty detail from the cool hammered dome pendants and the brass hardware to that dreamy blue La Cornue stove. The feature wooden wall of hidden cabinetry is beautiful and makes the kitchen super functional as well.

In the dining room, and throughout the house, blue patterned textiles, warm woods and brass details keep the functional concrete floors feeling warm. If you love the look of concrete flooring, read this post for more ideas.

Each room is thoughtfully designed to maximize the space. The built-ins around the bench-seat window add storage while the functional cabinetry in this mudroom makes a pretty statement. I like that Regan Baker Design kept the styling simple so that the wood itself stays the most important design element.

The master bedroom is a crisp mix of blue and white with soft layering of textiles for comfort. The colorful mix of prints in the girl’s room is fun.

This bathroom! Such a pretty mix of cement floor tile, brass fixtures, white shiplap, and black tile in the shower. The floating wood vanity, large custom mirror, and skylight keep the space open and bright. The modern freestanding tub seems like the best place to unwind in this fresh clean space.
