Design Trend 2020: Warm Whites

Design: Caroline Gidiere / Architect: James F. Carter / Via: Veranda

Pure white will always have our heart for feeling crisp and cleansing, however lately we find ourselves drawn to creamier hues. Warm whites are a major design trend that lend a softer more traditional vibe to your home. We especially like them layered throughout the space from the wall paint, to the furniture, to the art and textiles. Today we are taking a look at spaces that show how creamy whites can create a soft inviting space that still feels fresh and modern.

Becki Owens Summit Creek Project Office

Throughout our Summit Creek Project, we used a foundation of Benjamin Moore White Dove paint. This creamy paint is soft and comfortable without feeling yellow.

This mountain home shows how calm a room can feel layered with creamy neutrals. Pair the warm whites with few pops of black and leather for contrast.

The creamy whites in our Cotton Point Estates Project adds a timeless global vibe to the Modern Spanish home. The floor, walls, and lighting fixtures all add layers of neutral warmth.

In this nursery, we used crisp white paint on the walls, but then layered creamy white textures throughout the space. We like the way the warm hued rug, pendant light, and dresser adds dimension and softness to the room.

In our Paint Resource Guide we share all our favorite go-to whites. Click here to see it!
