Linear pendants, the ones that extend horizontally across a space, keep popping up in beautiful kitchens on Pinterest and Instagram. Although we first saw them extending across dining tables, lately we are seeing them used as an alternative to oversize pendants above the island. The look is fresh with its understated simplicity, clean lines, and minimalist design but still makes a unique statement. Although linear pendants fit perfectly in to modern minimalist kitchens, they work in traditional spaces as well. Take a look at this pretty lighting trend in the kitchens below.
If you are looking for a high end custom vibe in your kitchen, one look to consider is paneled appliances. Most commonly, panel-ready appliances allow you to create seamless flow between your cabinetry and fridge that hides the appliance behind custom wood. But lately, we’ve been noticing a look that highlights a paneled appliance, instead of disguising it. The look is very pretty and uses a panel of natural wood that contrasts with the rest of the kitchen. We’ve seen the look with both light and dark wood, chevron pattern, and reclaimed wood. Take a look at this trending kitchen idea.
Have you been seeing the same beautiful flooring trend that we have? It’s an old look, being made new again by designers we love. Black and white stone checkerboard flooring adds a classic European look to your design. It’s a no-brainer if your lean traditional, but can work within lots of styles. Pair it with woven bistro chairs in the kitchen for a retro vibe, or add it to your modern farmhouse entry to add a little character. Take a look at these beautiful spaces for ideas on how to add this trending look throughout your home.
There is a bathroom look we are loving lately. We incorporated it into our new #beachfrontproject that we just finished showing off at the St George Parade of Homes. The trend mixes warm light wood with cool moody grays. The contrast in tones is interesting and creates a rich organic feel to your space. Take a look at different ways we are seeing designers work this trend in to their bathroom projects.

Black windows are a look we love to use. Although they are a big trend right now, black windows are not new. They come from the greenhouses, factories, and warehouses of the 19th century, and architects have been using them as statement makers in high-end construction for decades. As with all elements of design, you should always go with what you love regardless of whether it is trendy or not and we think this is a look to keep. Here are a few things to consider to help you decide if black windows are the right fit for your home design.
