Heber House Project Bedrooms Part 1

July 18, 2017

Today I am excited to share two more bedrooms from my Heber House Project collaboration with Jamie Bellessa. Our goal for this mountain home was to create spaces that embrace a fresh modern minimalism paired with layered textiles and rich woods for rustic warmth. Take a look!

Bedroom 1

This first bedroom pairs fresh neutrals with soft blues and dark metal. Although the room is carpeted, we added a soft looped wool rug to create a rich plush look and to create a light contrast to the darker carpet. A natural wood platform bed layered with pretty bedding is clean and classic while the artwork above adds a modern touch.

Bedroom 2

The second bedroom plays with traditional and modern elements. A classic iron bed frame painted white and rustic weathered wood nightstands feel like they could have been antique family pieces but we paired them with white and brass modern table lamps for a fresh look. Layered textiles throughout the room begin with a beautiful lattice flotaki rug paired with linen bedding, beautiful geometric patterned pillows, and a striped throw. A rich green chair in the corner adds an unexpected color and another soft surface to add to the room’s inviting vibe.

Beautiful Bedding Worth Giving

December 10, 2015

One of my favorite new finds is a beautiful organic bedding line that I love to use in my projects. I just finished installing the master bedroom of my Ivy Way Project. The statement piece in this Spanish colonial bedroom was a turned, four-poster bed with crisp white bedding and vintage textiles. I was so pleased with the quality of bedding I used, I want to share it with you today.

Spanish Bohemian Master Becki Owens

Boll and Branch is a luxury line of organic bedding made with the finest cotton, ethically made, and offered at the best prices. I noticed the difference right away when the packages arrived.

For this space, I chose the crisp white Trimmed Sheet Set and Duvet. Each item was carefully wrapped in beautiful individual boxes. I love how they felt like a special gift.

When I opened the boxes the sheets were enclosed in soft cloth, button cases with specific labels. The presentation was gorgeous.

I was especially in love with the grey cable knit throw that was wrapped in a bow. It was so soft and cozy to the touch. Each item came with charming special care and handling descriptions.

The bedding looked crisp, white and elegant in my Ivy Way project master bedroom and the throw added just the right amount of cozy color to the space. My client says it’s the softest bedding she has every slept on and washes so well. With its beautiful packaging and superior quality, Boll and Branch is bedding worth giving. To see all of their cozy throws and a full line of their products visit their selection here. Stay tuned for full resources and how to get this look of this bohemian Spanish colonial bedroom soon. Have a wonderful Thursday!
