Q+A
A friend of mine is in the middle of a remodel and came to me for advice about her new windows. She is in love with the black window trend but is worried that it will soon become dated. If you’re updating your home, it’s a question you might be asking too, “Black or White Windows?!” Read this post for all our thoughts on this hot design trend and what window look is right for your home.

Design Trends
2018 Trend: Sage Green Cabinetry
Sage green has emerged as a great color this year to pair with the raw woods and rich metals that we have been loving for that modern organic vibe It’s a soft muted color with gray undertones that makes it a perfect updated neutral. We wrote about green spaces in a few posts. Read 2018 Trend: Sage Green Cabinetry + Paint Guide, Sage Green Bathrooms, and Trend Update: Green Kitchens.
Design Trend Update: Two Toned Kitchens
At the beginning of the year, we predicted we’d see more of the two toned kitchen trend in 2018. Were we right? Yes! More than half way through the year and we started seeing beautiful kitchen designs that nail the look. Although we are finding new kitchens that pair white with classic black or a pretty color, this year the emphasis is definitely on wood with fresh white, bold color, or dramatic black paired with the warm organic look of natural wood. Read here for more on this trend.

Dream Home: A Modern Farmhouse Gem in Canada
This dream home comes from a design firm that I admire, Muskoka Living Interiors. No one makes lake-side living look more enticing. If you aren’t familiar with their work, you are in for a treat. I’ve shared them before on Instagram and in this post, Drool Worthy Lake House Exteriors, and today I am excited to feature their vision of the Modern Farmhouse. It’s a soft layering of lux textiles, fresh white walls, edgy black accents, all mixed with a subtle coastal vibe. Take a look at this beautiful home.
