5 Inspirations that Caught My Eye

Heron Horton Architects

Those of you following along on Instagram know that I am spending a few weeks with family in Montana. It’s a summer tradition of ours that keeps the focus on family and the simple things. In this vibe, I’m drawn this week to simple design. Crisp, clean, and white with an emphasis on nature and a few statement pieces that elevate the design.  Take a look at these five beautiful inspirations.

The beams in this white kitchen are show stoppers. Love how everything else was left clean and simple with nothing competing for the attention of the statement ceiling.

Gal Meets Glam

Easy to imagine summer evenings spent with friends and family around this table. A cozy gathering can be as simple as good food on the table and a lights strung above to create a mood.

This kitchen is a beautiful example of how simple white and wood can be anything but boring. The small details elevate the design in this space–subway tile backing the built-ins, vertical paneling on the pantry door, etc…

Muskoka Living

Muskoka Living always provides great inspiration. A clean palette with crisp lines allows the incredible lake view out the window to become a major part of the design. Black windows frame the view, making it feel like a piece of art.

Marble slap counters and backsplash make this kitchen feel rich. The layering of cool and warm shades of white adds sophistication, while rustic woods and metals add a hint of modern industrial. It’s a great combination of features perfect for a modern farmhouse.

What do you think? Simplicity can be it’s own design statement. Check back soon for more looks that are catching my eye.

Happy Thursday!
