2016 Kitchen Design Roundup

At the end of the year I always think its fun to take a look back. Today, I want to share a roundup of all of my kitchen designs, plus some of my favorite kitchen inspirations from 2016. There are some amazing ones, you won’t want to forget. I hope you  enjoy reminiscing with me.

Many of my designs and my favorite kitchen inspirations use open shelving. It is a look that has been popular for a few years, but because it makes a kitchen feel bright and open, while still being functional, it remains a favorite. Read my Q&A: Open Shelving for more ideas.

Colored cabinetry in the kitchen can be a pretty alternative to white. The painted cabinets in these pictures have inspired several projects of my own. Vintage rugs in the kitchen enrich the space by adding some history and a pop of color. This is a design idea that everyone can do for an affordable kitchen update. White kitchens remain my favorite. They are fresh, timeless, and provide a perfect backdrop for beautiful statement lighting, unique hardware, and pretty millwork. Read about my Affordable White Kitchen Remodel here.
