Happy Wednesday! Today, I’m excited to share a few pics from a new kitchen renovation I just completed. The kitchen of our Vidriosa project was an amazing transformation from an original tract home kitchen to a fresh, modern space with beautiful natural wood elements and clean modern lines. This kitchen has a minimal palette consisting of a white foundation warmed up with natural wood open shelving and European oak wood floors. I love the modern simplicity of this space, but to make it feel inviting and give it a little personality, I added one of my favorite kitchen styling elements – a kilim style wool runner.
If you don’t already have a rug in your kitchen or want to give your kitchen a quick and affordable update, adding a rug will make all the difference. It’s the perfect way to add color to neutral spaces and liven up the room. Plus it a great to make a space more cozy in cooler months. I don’t even mind being barefoot in a kitchen with a runner and it’s nice when you have little ones who are constantly on the ground running around.
When I’m styling kitchens, and looking for great rug options, I love to look at Nordstrom. They have a huge selection of rugs to choose from, in a variety of styles and in different price ranges. This rug was affordable, making a big impact on the room without breaking the bank.
