Not far from my home, at Crystal Cove in Newport Beach is one of my favorite stores. I’ve been visiting Juxtaposition Home for years now, ever since it opened. The carefully curated mix of unique antiques, vintage batik textiles and clean, crisp linens is mouth-watering. While maintaing a timeless coastal vibe, found objects from around the globe are displayed, keeping the store fresh with new discoveries every time I stop by.
I love the display of fabrics hung on the wall and the pockets of ready-made pillow covers to take home. There is always a gorgeous sampling styled on substantial linen sofas and upholstered chairs. This is not a store I head into in a rush. I walk slowly, browsing the gallery walls and curated displays. You may have noticed they carry french style fashion and even fun statement jewelry pieces. I loved seeing the collected war memorabilia, like the framed Morse code wall hanging.
