Last week we shared tips for refreshing your bathroom in time for holiday visitors, today I have another tip to share + a sneak peek into my Vidriosa project bathroom. My Vidriosa project is a tract home transformation. We took it from dark and dated to fresh and beautiful with modern clean lines and warm woods. I cannot wait for the complete reveal, but for now I’ll have to settle for sharing a few bathroom pics.
We kept this master bathroom fresh and airy with light wide-plank European oak floors paired with white walls and cabinetry. To break up the warm tones, we then added a little drama with dark herringbone Fireclay tile and black styling accents.
The finishing touch was styling the bathroom to give it personality. Even if you are not working with a fresh new space, styling is essential to make a bathroom feel complete. When I’m looking for bathroom accents, I always check out Nordstrom. They have a great selection of rugs, soaps and scents, decorative bowls, planters, and mirrors. You can find unique items to style with that are surprisingly affordable. These small elements come together to create a big impact.
For this project, we were on the hunt for accents that would create a bit of modern edge in the neutral space. We used a simple round mirror, a dark moody rug, and a black stripe turkish towel. We then layered a little glam with a few gold pops in the candle and decorative bowls.
The foundations of this bathroom are so good, but with a few beautiful bathroom essentials and decorative accents made the space even better. For pretty accents in your own bathroom, check out some favorite Nordstrom finds below. For more images of my Vidriosa project, read this kitchen post and check back soon for a full reveal!
