For the second feature of our “Dream Home” series I want to highlight a beautiful remodel in Mill Valley, CA. What was once an old 1930’s church was transformed into a warm home for a young family. Check out the details of this unique transformation by HSH Interiors.
From the inviting entry, you get a sneak peek of the flavor of this special home. Clean, rustic and industrial elements set the tone for whats to come.
The design of this great room is so stunning. I love the exposed beams from the vaulted ceiling of the original church. They give the space so much character and warmth.
The polish of black pendant lights, farmhouse sink and counter tops give the space a refined look while being practical for a young family. There is such a beautiful mix of woods with clean lines and shine from brass accents.
The wood ceiling perfectly frames the gorgeous surround of white cabinetry in the kitchen and the hidden pantry is such a clever and pretty design.
I like how the space of the great room is defined by large, comfortable facing sofas and a wall of gray cabinetry. This is a fabulous gathering spot, great for entertaining.
The beauty of the home extends to and elegant master bedroom with a cozy sitting area and fresh white, brass and navy bathrooms.
I love how the church bell was preserved. It seems fun for all ages and it’s so charming. I can imagine it calling the family together for meal times.
