Today’s dream home is such a coastal beauty. Fresh white with natural light, clean shiplap, and carefully edited colors and textures. It’s a small footprint, but because of designer Raquel Garcia’s work, it feels beautifully cozy and collected not cramped or cluttered. I’m ready to switch coasts and move on in. Take a look, you will too.
Kitchen and Dining
The kitchen and dining space uses the prettiest palette of soft pastels and golds against crisp white. The beautiful textiles on the dining seating feel unique and add some history to the new space. Brass and lucite hardware is a look we already love (we wrote about it here) but this kitchen shows how it can feel timeless and beautiful in even this more traditional space.
This master bedroom is so serene. The all white linens create a sanctuary while the Schumacher wallpaper adds interest with it’s hint of shimmer and midcentury design. Had I seen this girls room earlier, it definitely would have made the cut for last month’s 10 Fresh Kid Bedrooms post. I love the fun, whimsical wallpaper paired with the classic classic Jenny Lind bed.
The bathroom is again an interesting mix of hard and soft with the clean-lined cool marble paired with a soft blush wall color and ornate mirror.
Layers of soft white textures are paired with gold accents in this cozy living space. I love how the brass nods to the traditional while the clean lines lean midcentury. It is a pairing that feels fresh but not out of place in a Cape Cod. So well designed.
I hope you love this dreamy home as much as I do. To see more of Raquel Garcia’s work, check out her portfolio. We love sharing beautiful homes of all styles. Check back soon for more looks to love in our Dream Home series.
